Football Manager 2010 was released on 30 October 2009 for Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows and PlayStation Portable. It is also available for digital download through Steam and iOS. The game demo was released on 14 October 2009.

Football Manager 2010 is the first edition of the series to be sold under the name Football Manager worldwide. Previous North America (ie, United States / Canada) versions sold worldwide as Director of Football.
